Achievements 2011: Were we successful?

The Age of Light is upon us

 
It happens every 12 months.  It's the end of the year, and 2011  got used up pretty quickly, didn't it?   
In looking back it is natural to ask what we achieved --whether it be articles written, books published,  service to others, for personal satisfaction,  entertainment, discussion or persuasive argument.  No matter.
  One might be tempted to procrastinate and reserve judgment until January 1st, but no,  at Incoming Bytes we profess to be  fearless  with an eye open to improvement.  Constant re-evaluation  and questioning is the name of the game. 
During 2011 we touched on many things.

• Was the reader encouraged to pursue further action, pursue life pro actively in their own environment --and face serious issues head-on?  

• Were novice writers encouraged to at least study 'Terms of Service'  and think carefully before submitting their valuable work the rapidly-changing world of  word mills?  

• Did anyone think twice about the endangered sea turtles of Costa Rica?  

• Have any unhappy couples concerned themselves with the need for a quantum change in their own, and  society's collective  lax  attitude toward abusive relationships?

• Has anyone recognized the tendency of the west to promote the proliferation of Democracy in the middle East countries for economic benefit, while diminishing it's worth at home with increasingly-repressive legislation put forth under the guise of 'national security' ?

• Did anyone read 'Occupy this'  twice  and wonder why bureaucracy worldwide, but especially in North America, is in such a hurry to shut down reasonable protest by ordinary  people trying to better our world.

• How about the political gamesmanship with the Keystone Pipeline,  and rejection  of the Kyoto accord by both the US and Canada  in preference for dirty oil of the Athabasca oil sands to feed yet more wealth to powerful international petroleum companies?

• Was anyone convinced we should be asking VERY  pointed questions about the very future of energy itself when CLEAN ENERGY is already  being produced with the new technology of the  Rossi E-cat,   Apparently our politicians are not paying attention. Read this again and weep. 

• Why is the nuclear energy sector still planning to build more nukes after the nuclear disasters in Fukushima, Japan and Chernobyl?  Have any of our readers been convinced it is time to encourage our leaders to   declare war on nuclear power?

• How many snowmobile enthusiasts will have saved their own lives by reading  about one aspect of their   'sport',  the  exciting, but  dangerous and foolish practice of  'Snowmobile high-marking' which, all too often, causes fatal avalanches?   
• *We fondly hope that article and this reminder will save even ONE life this year and many more in years to come.

*We believe that if we have adequately convinced even ONE  snowmobile enthusiast  to avoid 'high-marking' and their understanding of the danger saves ONE life--we will have succeeded. 
  At Incoming Bytes we ask:  

1. How can we continue to improve our own lives? 
2. How can we begin improving society by quantum leaps? 
3. How can we encourage  society to entertain complete change, endorse clean energy, and create a kinder, gentler society that is responsible and sustainable?
4. How can we encourage civilization to allow the Age of Light to begin? An age of  intelligent social construction,  common sense, logic, protracted thought, and cooperation?

 Perhaps  that's a little much to ask of our greedy, profit-oriented, power-hungry,  hedonistic, selfish, arrogant and stiff-necked retail-blinded shopping society so soon.  
No matter. We shall persist. 
  Back to the original question.  Have we persuaded even one person such a quantum change is necessary?   I believe so. That is only one of many worthy achievements.
  It seems to me it's logical to  continue to stay on track, stay informed, use common sense, and explore the mundane, the unknown, the interesting, the challenging,  and the universe itself-- with open minds.  

For 2012:
Let us challenge wrongs and insist upon change with conscience; 
Let us not shirk our duty to ourselves and humanity ; 
Let us continue facing the future and building it better--  for with faith and perseverance, we CAN do it.
The Age of Light is upon us.

Reinventing Energy: The Rossi E-Cat

Clean Energy:  Where man has yet to Go

A 'cold fusion' reaction has already gone commercial and will be reinventing the energy sector.  The Rossi  E-cat  or "energy catalyzer"  is the unique invention of  Andrea Rossi, an Italian engineer using a unique approach to creating energy.   The process and process  has already been validated by other researchers and observers. 

How does it work?  A low energy  reaction.  External heat applied at about 60C initiates a reaction that is self-sustaining.  Is nuclear chemistry at work? That may be one of the important questions.  Nickel is turned into copper, and in the process, a huge amount of energy is released. Very little fuel is required. 

There is no emission of Carbon dioxide , no radioactive waste byproduct is  produced, and no radioactive materials are used in the process. 

Let the  dirty oil industry take note, the E-Cat is non-polluting, and creates clean energy. It can create heat, boil water, generate steam,  electricity, and drive vehicles down the road.  
At Incoming Bytes we believe The age of light is indeed upon us.  The bell tolls for dirty, polluting technology. 

The E-cat involves a fine nickel powder, an unnamed catalyst,  hydrogen, and a cold fusion reaction  process  The reaction observed and useful is exothermic, meaning that it produces heat--a lot of it.  
There are 10Kw home-sized units which will be soon be  available to heat homes.

The world is watching! 
The first Mega-Watt-sized unit has been sold and has been delivered.  Imagine the significance of this event.   The first large mega-Watt-sized unit has been sold ---and  it will be, like all good eCats, refilled and charged only once every six months. 
 Now all we have to do is wait and see how far the heavily-financed petroleum sector  will go to discourage and discredit this already-proven,  genuine innovation.   The time for cold fusion has arrived.

Time for Civilization to Progress: Convert Oil Madness to Solar Strategy

The world must be changed. The advancement of civilization is stalled, and progress is now blinded with the global obsession for oil.    The environment is repeatedly  poisoned by  catastrophic  events involving oil and will continue to be  until it is recognized that our preoccupation  with oil madness must be addressed and adequately remedied.    Oil madness  is rooted in greed, and humanity must bravely acknowledge that fact.   The obsession with oil is a global detriment and not sustainable in the long term, if only because the use of oil threatens the existence of life itself.

Until greed is better understood and quelled by common sense, necessity, and civility itself,  shall we continue to pretend we are on the right path and allow our beautiful and natural  world environment to be tortured  and blatantly destroyed in the relentless search and extraction of ever more oil wealth by  the greedy, the powerful and arrogant? 

 It is time to advance civilization and make changes for the better. Human beings everywhere have the basic human right to expect the global environment to be respected in it’s entirety and closely protected . We must offer change for the better, we must be part of change, but we  must also demand change. What can be done? 

Clean, viable energy alternatives ARE available, in spite of what a gigantic and powerfully-embedded  oil industry wishes you to believe. Alternatives and technical improvements are creating solutions that are no longer merely considered just an environmentalist’s  dream.
 Wind turbine technology is developing  rapidly and being put into service, which is progress in itself, but  how many readers know that the earth receives more energy from the sun in one HOUR than the whole world uses in one year?
In spite of that amazing fact,  solar energy production combined only accounts for 0.01% or less of the total Global Primary demand for energy . 
The very pointed question must be asked:   Why? 

Perhaps a few years ago photovoltaic cells ( PV, or solar cells)  were “inefficient” at a level of  6%,   but technology now exists to produce solar cells that perform at levels as high as  24.2% efficiency, (Solarbuzz)   reported by SunPower of San Jose, CA, USA.
Using a concentrator, Spectrolab Inc., a subsidiary of Boeing Company has announced a cell that can convert 41.6% of concentrated sunlight into electricity.
