The Age of Light is Upon Us |
Got the spring blahs? Tired of waiting for nice weather? You can fix that today. Think Y for Yellow.
At the end of a long, cold winter we all have the blahs. Cabin fever. Boredom. We're tired of snow, road salt, mud, and the dark. We need light. Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. Got none?
Okay, let's try Yellow. The colour of sunshine. Wakey-wakey.... Open the eyes and let the beautiful yellow light of sunshine into your heart and into your very soul.
Concentrate on yellow.
The brightness, the light that everyone wants in their lives. Daybreak. Warmth. Cheery, bright, and light. Somewhere between orange and green. Yellow helps growth. Do you like growth? With yellow you are well on your way. Allow your mind to grow, to expand. Drink in the yellow light of change for the better.
It is one of my favourite colours. Yellow is sunflowers, and lemons. With yellow, life can be sweet lemonade.
Don't like lemons? Got no sunflowers yet? Maybe all you need is a yellow submarine!
Maybe all you need is a yellow submarine... |
Is that incoming I hear?
When I was younger, I never liked yellow, simply because my mother did not like it. Still, the sunflowers ... Now I love yellow. Great post.
ReplyDeleteAlexandra, I only barely mentioned sunflowers because I thought you might do yellow with sunflowers! I also love yellow! Thank you so much for the kind comments. ":) ~R
DeleteYes, yellow is a jolly sort of color. The majority of the flowers in my garden are yellow. You can't be sad for long looking at them.
ReplyDeleteI really like yellow, always did! I agree, they boost the happiness level! Yellow flowers are magnificent and make everything so bright, don't they. I have yellow forsythia just coming out now, which is very welcome! Thanks for commenting, Glory.~R
DeleteYellow is cheerful and makes me think spring and flowers. Daffodils, tulips, forsythia and even dandelions are yellow, and they all bloom in early spring.
ReplyDeleteA ride in the yellow submarine wouldn't be a bad idea, either :)
Katley, you sure have that right. Yellow is brilliant in the sunshine and is good for the soul. Dandelions are one of my favourite flowers! Enjoy your ride in the yellow submarine....":))
DeleteWhen I was young i wore a lot of yellow but can't anymore. For some reason, it just doesn't look good on me. I like Sunflowers too - they're fun!
ReplyDeleteHope you've enjoyed the A to Z Challenge. This was my first time. It was ... a challenge! :)

ReplyDeleteHi, Sharkbytes, I love yellow too. Although they say it may be the color of madness...hahahha! I'll visit your blog too, thank you for commenting! ~R
DeleteSo I came by to see zeppelin and was notified the page does not exist ... well it does in my blogger's reading list, so what can I say? It must be a yellow kind of day, as a lot of people truly enjoy this color - and very few of them for the same exact reason. As for yellow submarines...yes, you've got me humming the song (probably for the rest of the day too:)
ReplyDeleteHi MJ, it seems that zeppelin was a glitch or something, there is no explaining some things is there. I guess everyone loves yellow when it's blah and gray outside! The Yellow Submarine does get into one's head, doesn't it? Thanks for visiting! ~R
DeleteLove it! New follower here. I’m enjoying reading my fellow “A to Z”ers. I look forward to visiting again.

DeleteYellow is a cheerful colour :) We need more of it in our world!
ReplyDeleteChristyb, just think of those daffodils, the sun, sunflowers, and up above those BC clouds the sun is shining away every day,in every way...Christyb is smiling at the sun now...":) ~R
DeleteMy children insist on giant sunflowers and daffodils every year. It is an indulgence I give them amongst the white flowers I choose for the yard. My sister once painted her kitchen and dining room a sunny yellow. A bit much for me, but then, I prefer orange ;) Closer to my natural color!
ReplyDeleteRed.
Orange for a redhead, Red? That is curious, to say the least. I thought redheads did not like orange. What colour is your office? I like yellow which goes well with earth tones--natural stuff! Some people suggest that yuellow is the colour of madness too...go figure huh? Yellow walls are nice in limited quantities...":) Thanks for visiting, Red! ~R
